BJP announces 160 candidates, Ravindra Jadeja’s wife gets ticket, 38 MLAs denied ticket

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday released its first list of 182 candidates for the Upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections. On one hand, Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Rivaba Jadeja was fielded on the party ticket by Jam Nagar North, while Hardik Patel has been fielded from Veergam. State Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will contest from Ghatlodia seat.

Of the 160 candidates fielded by the BJP, 38 new faces have been given a chance while 69 MLAs have been re-fielded. The ticket of the sitting MLA from Morbi has been denied this time.

Former MLA Kanti Lal Bhai, who saved people’s lives at the time of the accident, has been made its candidate from here this time by betting on the BJP. Apart from this, Malti Sister has been fielded from Gandhi Dham.
