New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh government has set up a three-member judicial inquiry commission to probe the killing of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother and former MLA Khalid Azim alias Ashraf in Prayagraj on Saturday night.
A three-member commission headed by justice (retd) Arvind Kumar Tripathi of the Allahabad High Court has been set up with former DGP Subesh Kumar Singh and retired Justice Brajesh Kumar Soni as members.
The commission will have to submit its report to the government within two months of its probe into the matter. The state home department has set up the commission under the Commission of Inquiry Act, 1952.
