Opposition attacks Delhi CM Kejriwal for holding meeting with Punjab bureaucrats

Chandigarh: Opposition leaders on Tuesday lashed out at Aam Aadmi Party and its supremo Arvind Kejriwal for reportedly summoning senior Punjab officials to Delhi for a meeting in the absence of CM Bhagwant Mann.

“Worst was feared, worst happened. @ArvindKejriwal has taken over Punjab much before it was expected to happen. That @BhagwantMann is a rubber stamp was a foregone conclusion already, now Kejriwal has proved it right by chairing Punjab officers’ meeting in Delhi,” former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh said.

“You Bhagwant Mann ji are going to meet Hon’ble President of India today, pltake up issue of governor punjab touring border districts to observe law and order issues. This is exclusive state subject and it is U who should be touring border districts.Already Arvind Kejriwal ji summoning pb govt to Delhi has set grossly wrong precedence. Gov is going to Gurdaspur Distt after visiting Fazilka recently,” said Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Raja Warring.

Former education minister and SAD spokesperson Daljit Singh Cheema wrote on Twitter, “We have heard a lot about Delhi as Union Govt interfering into the internal affairs of the States.

But, it is for the first time that we are seeing Delhi, as State Govt directly interfering into the internal affairs of Punjab Govt.”
