Daduwal submits resign from Haryana committee, CM asks him to continue till next chief’s election

Chandigarh: Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (HSGMC) president Baljit Singh Daduwal has submitted resign from his post. The announcement was made by Daduwal after a meeting with Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Chandigarh.

The Haryana chief minister has given Daduwal the responsibility of remaining the president till the new committee is formed.

Baljit Singh Daduwal met the Chief Minister of Haryana in Chandigarh today and later announced his resignation. In 2020, Daduwal had won by defeating Jasbir Singh Khalsa by a margin of two votes.

On the other hand, the Haryana government had recently constituted a 38-member ad-hoc committee for the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, which included six members from Sirsa, five from Yamunanagar, four each from Ambala, Kaithal and Karnal, three from Kurukshetra, two each from Faridabad, Panchkula and Panipat, and one each from Kaithal Bhiwani, Hisar, Jind, Mahendragarh, Nuh and Rohtak.
