NIA seeks property details of 57 gangsters, terrorists from Punjab government

Chandigarh: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has sought details of properties of 57 alleged gangsters and terrorists from the Punjab government.

In this, the NIA also includes the names of terrorists associated with Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). In case of wrong earnings, the government can confiscate the properties of all of them after investigation.

NIA is constantly trying to break the cluster created by terrorists and gangsters. For this, two FIRs have also been registered by the NIA. Apart from Lakhbir Singh Landa, the names of gangsters like Lawrence Bishnoi, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, Kala Jathera, Bhuppi etc. are also included.

The NIA has also raided the hideouts of terrorists and gangsters in Punjab, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan two to three times.

If the NIA investigation proves that the illegal money has been used to buy properties, then the government can confiscate them or even demolish them. This ill-earned money can be collected from abroad through terrorist funds, drug smuggling and ransom. Keeping this in mind, the government is taking this action through NIA.

The Uttar Pradesh government has demolished several such properties of gangsters and anti-social elements in the past.
