Beirut, Lebanon: Abu Hasan Al-Qurashi, the head of the Islamic State terror group, has been killed in the combat with ‘enemies of god’, a spokesperson said.
The Islamic State spokesman confirmed his death and the group has declared Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurashi as the new caliph.
“Abu Hassan has been killed while fighting with the enemies of Allah,” a spokesman for the terror group said in a statement. However, he did not give any information about the time and circumstances of his death.
According to the news agency, the IS spokesman sent an audio message and shared information about this change in the terrorist organization.
