Hoshiarpur: Some unidentified persons broke open an ATM with a gas cutter and decamped with Rs 17 lakh in Bham village, about 23 km from Hoshiarpur district.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Daljit Singh Khakh said the footage of CCTV cameras installed near the ATM was being examined.
Jasvir Singh, assistant manager of Punjab National Bank (Bham branch), said the incident took place around 2.40 am. The thieves, who came in the car, escaped with around Rs 17 lakh.
