Mumbai: Actor Gauahar Khan condemned the action of a woman for relentlessly slapping a cab driver in Lucknow and lauded driver’s serenity attitude.
Last week, a video of a woman thrashing a cab driver in Lucknow, went viral and she faced opprobrium on social media.
Talking about the incident in a mixture of Hindi and English with the media at the airport on Friday, Khan said, “It was his greatness that he didn’t hit her back and this kind of man that India needs but her act was indispensable. “She took advantage of being a woman and she displayed sheer uncouthness. I salute the man .”
She further said that the man set an exemplary standard on how to behave in such situations.
According to the information, the incident occurred on Saturday when cab driver Sahadat Ali stopped his cab before the woman who was crossing the road near Awadh crossing. Apparently enraged over it, the woman started beating him after pulling him out of the cab before a traffic cop. Subsequently, the police penalised Sahadat and two of his relatives.
Following the video went viral on the social media, an FIR was also registered against the woman for assaulting a cab driver at a traffic signal near Awadh crossing here went viral on social media.
