Over 50 injured as goods train collides with passenger train in Maharashtra’s Gondia

Mumbai: More than 50 passengers were injured in a collision between a passenger train and a goods train in Maharashtra’s Gondia on Wednesday. Three bogies are said to have derailed in the accident. It is being said that the accident took place at early morning. The reason behind the accident is stated to be the signal could not be found. No death has been reported so far due to the accident.

The one of these trains was going from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh to Jodhpur in Rajasthan.

According to the information, due to the signal problem, both the trains came on the same track. On receiving the signal, the Bilaspur-Bhagat Ki Kothi passenger train overtook. At the same time, the goods train was going towards Nagpur on this track. When the railway signal was not found, the passenger train hit the goods train near Gondia Gate.

It is being told that a total of 53 passengers have been injured in this train accident, out of which 13 have suffered minor injuries.
