Batala police put up posters of absconding Amritpal Singh

Chandigarh: Batala police on Wednesday put up posters of Amritpal Singh, the head of the ‘Waras Punjab De’ outfit, at the railway station here and several other places.

The posters pasted on the walls of the railway station read that the picture is of Amritpal Singh, who is wanted by the police in various cases. The informant will be suitably rewarded and the name of the informant will be kept confidential.

Two contact numbers have also been released at the bottom of the poster. Two days ago, Amritpal Singh’s closest aide, Papalpreet Singh, was arrested by the Amritsar (Rural) police from Kathunangal, barely 15 km from here.

It is being speculated by the general public that the Punjab Police can now end ‘Operation Amritpal’ and soon show the arrest of Amritpal Singh.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (City) Lalit Sharma said that Batala police have put up such posters at batala railway station and every naka in Batala area to arrest Amritpal Singh. Amritpal Singh will be arrested very soon.
