After settlement in Jalandhar DCP-AAP MLA row, Dogra transferred to police line

Jalandhar: In a major embarrassment for Punjab police and Jalandhar DCP Naresh Dogra, AAP MLA and workers have thrashed him during a meeting over a dispute. Following this, DCP Law and Order Dogra has now been transferred to Jalandhar PAP after a high-profile mess that lasted for about 18 to 20 hours in Jalandhar city.

According to the reports, the DCP also misbehaved with the AAP MLA Raman Arora, but he was beaten by his workers, whose video is going viral on the social media. A compromise was reached, but later, the transfer order was issued.

He has been removed from the post of DCP Law and Order and posted in PAP-2 under Inspector General on temporary basis.

This means that when the situation improves, DCP Dogra could be reinstated on the post, officials said.
