Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Patiala Rural, Dr. Balbir Singh, were sentenced to three years’ imprisonment and fined Rs 16,000 by the Rupnagar court, after which the court granted them bail with a bond of Rs 50,000.
The case pertains to a dispute between the siblings over a land dispute in 2011.
Additional chief judicial magistrate Ravi Inder Singh has announced rigorous imprisonment of three years to all three accused in the matter, however, he was granted bail on the spot.
