New Delhi: Gujarat Assembly elections will be announced at 12 noon today. The Election Commission will announce the full schedule of the election at a press conference at Rang Bhawan Auditorium of Akashvani Bhawan in Delhi at 12 noon today.
It is expected that assembly elections can be held later this month.
There is a discussion within political parties on whether Gujarat will go to polls in two phases this time, just like in 2017.
It is believed that this time too, elections can be held in two phases.
There are a total of 182 assembly seats in Gujarat and the magic figure of majority is 92. In the 2017 elections, the BJP had won 99 seats and formed the government. The opposition Congress had won 77 seats and others six.
