Kabbadi player dies during match in Punjab’s Jalandhar

Chandigarh: There was a wave of mourning in the Punjab and the sports kabaddi world when kabaddi player Amarpreet Ghas, a resident of Ghaspur (Gurdaspur), died on the way to the hospital due to heart attack during the kabaddi tournament being organized by Shaheed Udham Singh Sports and Welfare Club at village Jakopur Kalan in Shahkot.

On this, the organizers of village Jakopur Kalan, MLA Hardev Singh Laddi and Rattan Singh Kakar Kalan constituency in-charge of Aam Aadmi Party expressed deep sorrow. After the accident, the tournament was cancelled.

Amarpreet is survived by his father Khushwant Singh, mother Ramesh Kaur, wife Prabhjot Kaur and sister. She got married a year and a half ago. According to the information, he died due to a heart attack during the match.
