Chandigarh: A team of Amritsar Vigilance Range reached the house and shopping complex of Gurdaspur MLA Barindermeet Singh Pahra. The team took stock of the property here and examined some documents. Significantly, the investigation against MLA Phara is going on in the disproportionate assets case.
Last month, MLA was summoned to DSP vigilance Gurdaspur office in connection with the same investigation where he was questioned for 8 hours.
The vigilance team had sought documents from the MLA regarding the purchase of several properties. Now vigilance is investigating on the basis of these documents. Apart from MLA Pahra, the vigilance has summoned the current municipal council head Baljit Singh, father Gurmeet Singh, Jagbir Singh Jaggi for questioning.
MLA Barindermeet Singh Pahra reached the office last month after being summoned by the Vigilance Department. During that time, he was saluted by DSP Varinder Singh.
