United Kingdom: New currency notes with King Charles’s photo unveiled

London: The Bank of England today unveiled the designs of the first set of banknotes with a picture of British Emperor Charles III.

The image of Emperor Charles III will appear on the current design of all four polymer banknotes of 5, 10, 20 and 50. There will be no further changes in the current design of the banknotes, which have a picture of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

The new notes with the image of Emperor Charles III are expected to be in the hands of the people by mid-2024 and the existing notes with the queen’s picture will also continue to be in circulation.
