Ukrainian Actor Oksana Shvets Killed In Russian Rocket Attack

Kyiv: Ukrainian actor Oksana Shvets was killed in a Russian rocket attack on a residential building in Kyiv, media reports said on Friday.

Confirming the demise of Oksana, her troupe, the Young Theater, a translated statement read, “During the rocket shelling of a residential building in Kyiv, a well-deserved artist of Ukraine Oksana Shvets was killed.”

Highly acclaimed Ukrainian actor had been a member of The Young Theater troupe since 1980.

Oksana was 67 and had been awarded one of Ukraine’s highest artistic honors, ‘Honored Artist of Ukraine’.
