Mumbai: Television actress Tunisha Sharma’s co-star Sheezan Mohammed Khan, who allegedly committed suicide on the sets of a TV show in Vasai in Palghar district on Saturday, was arrested after a case of abetment to suicide was registered, police said. He will be produced in court on Monday, police said.
The body of 20-year-old Tunisha was found hanging in the washroom after a tea break during the shooting.
Police said they had to break open the door when Tunisha did not come out for a long time. The shooting crew then took Tunisha to the hospital around 1:30 am, where she was declared brought dead.
Tunisha Sharma’s associates had claimed that she had committed suicide, but the police conducted an on-the-spot investigation and said no suicide note was recovered. They had said they would investigate her death from both murder and suicide angles.
