Chandigarh: A CCTV has been was recovered by the police in the Rocket Launcher (RPG) case in Tarn Taran, Punjab. In this CCTV, attackers were seen coming on bikes.
Not only this, in the initial investigation, the police have received some inputs that two more RPGs are present in Punjab. After which the security agencies have become alert.
According to the information received, the attackers came in motorcycles and cars to attack Police Station Sarhali of Tarn Taran. The accused had stopped at a dhaba some distance away from the police station where they waited for a while before the attack.
The police have seized the CCTV footage. On the basis of CCTV, the police have started identifying the attackers.
In Punjab, 4 RPGs were simultaneously dropped from Pakistan side. One of them was registered at the Intelligence Office in Mohali and the other at Taran-Tarn police station.
Agencies engaged in finding 2 RPGs
Security agencies of Punjab and the Centre have become alert after receiving the tip-off. The RPGs sent from Pakistan to India are being searched. Until they are recovered, the danger will remain, officials said.
