Rishi Sunak’s family “reminded” of rules’ by police over off-lead dog

London: British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has once again landed himself in police trouble because of his Labrador retriever pet dog. Rishi Sunak and his family were seen walking their dog without a lid in Hyde Park in central London.

There are clear signs in this park that it is necessary to tie wildlife to the chain for a walk. Earlier, Sunak was fined for breaking lockdown rules and driving a car without a seat belt.

In the clip posted on TikTok, Rishi Sunak’s pet dog Nova can be seen walking without a leash. Nova also starts barking at the Metropolitan Police.

Referring to Rishi Sunak’s wife Akshata Murthy in a statement, the police said on Tuesday, “An officer present at that time spoke and reminded me of the rules. Rishi Sunak’s spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.”

After becoming the Prime Minister of Britain, Rishi Sunak went to live with his family at 10 Downing Street, when he was accompanied by pet dog Nova. Rishi Sunak shared a picture of it on Instagram on November 1, 2022, which went viral among Indians on social media.

Sunak, 42, was born to an Indian family in Southampton, UK. His grandparents belonged to Punjab. Son of a pharmacist mother and doctor father, Sunak studied at Winchester, one of England’s most famous schools.
