PM Modi slams Opposition for obstructing development works

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed a special function to mark the 10th death anniversary of former Samajwadi Party Rajya Sabha MP Harmohan Singh Yadav. He also accused the opposition of “obstructing” development work, saying it was the responsibility of every political party not to turn the opposition of any party or individual into the face of the country.

“In recent times, the trend of putting ideology or political selfishness above the interest of society and the country has started. Opposition parties at times obstruct the functioning of the government just because they could not implement the decisions they had taken when they were in power. Now if these decisions are implemented, they oppose it. The people of the country don’t like it,” PM Modi said.
