‘People want’: CM Kejriwal writes to PM for ‘picture of gods on currency’

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his demand to put pictures of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha on notes. In fact, Kejriwal had yesterday urged the Prime Minister to issue new currency notes with images and today he has formally written a letter to PM Narendra Modi

“I have written a letter to the Prime Minister requesting on behalf of 130 crore Indians that the picture of Mahatma Gandhi ji as well as Lakshmi Ganesh ji should be installed on Indian currency,” he said.

Arvind Kejriwal further said that in yesterday’s press conference, the demand of the public got tremendous support from the people. “People are very excited about it, everyone wants it to be implemented as soon as possible,” he said.
