Parents, child burnt alive as house catches fire in Amritsar

Amritsar: A major fire broke out in a house in Rose Enclave in Amritsar, Punjab, due to a short circuit. In the accident, 3 people died due to burns, while 4 people were badly injured.

All the injured have been admitted to the hospital. At the same time, in the initial investigation, it is being speculated that he first fell unconscious due to suffocation, then he died due to burns.

People in the vicinity immediately informed the police and fire brigade after were called. Seven people were sleeping in the house when the fire broke out but they could not get out from the house.

The deceased have been identified as Tajinder Singh (40), Mandeep Kaur (39) and son Dilpreet. While Sahaj, Dilvansh, Kiran and Sukhman were sleeping in another room. They too suffered burn injuries, but managed to come out in time. The injured have been admitted to the hospital in critical condition.

When the fire first started, people tried hard to control it, but did not succeed. Later, fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and brought the fire under control after a lot of effort. It has just been revealed that the fire has been caused by a short circuit. Police have taken the bodies of the deceased into custody.
