Mitchell Starc ruled out of Nagpur Test, Australia’s squad announced for India tour

New Delhi: Australia’s squad for the Test series against India has been announced. 22-year-old young spinner Todd Murphy has been included in the 18-member squad announced by Cricket Australia.

At present, the injuries of star bowler Mitchell Starc and all-rounder Cameron Green remain a matter of concern for Australia. Green has been included in the team in the opening match of the series.

At the same time, Mitchell Starc will be out of the first Test to be played in Nagpur. Green and Starc were injured during the Test series against South Africa. Both these players had fractured their fingers.

Four spinners have been included in the Kangaroo team for the four-Test series against India. Off-spinner Todd Murphy made a lot of noise in first-class cricket. Seeing his best performance, he was given a place in the team. If you look at the entire squad of Australia, Then Todd Murphy, Ashton Agar, Mitchell Swepson and Nathan Lyon are included as spin bowlers. Cricket Australia selectors thought it appropriate to prefer Todd Murphy over Adam Zampa.
