NIA likely to take over probe into Sudhir Suri murder case, agency sends team to Punjab

Chandigarh: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is likely to take over the probe into the murder of Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri, who was shot dead outside a temple in Amritsar, as the accused in the case allegedly has links with Khalistanis. An NIA team has been sent to Punjab, sources said today.

This came after Canada-based gangster Lakhbir Singh Landa has claimed responsibility for the day-to-day murder of Hindu leader Sudhir Suri. He took responsibility for this in a social media post.

Gangster Lakhbir Singh alias Landa Harike, who migrated to Canada from Tarn Taran, has said in a post that this is just the beginning.

However, it is not yet confirm whether the post is true or fake. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP Investigation) Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar said, “So far, we have not booked Landa Harike in this case. We are confirming the Facebook post. It is not clear whether it is fake or real.”
