New Zealand fully reopens borders after covid pandemic

Wellington: After hiatus of over two years, New Zealand’s borders were fully reopened for tourists from all over the world on Monday for the first time since it was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. New Zealand’s International borders began to reopen for the first time in February and restrictions were gradually eased. The process of reopening the borders ended last night with tourists who need a visa and are now allowed to return to New Zealand even on student visas.

New Zealand is now allowing cruise ships and foreign recreation boats to dock at its ports.

Meanwhile, after relaxation in the norms, international students, who have been a significant contributor to New Zealand’s economy and educational providers, would also admission in the universities across the country.
