Chandigarh: DSP Surendra Singh Bishnoi was killed by illegal mining mafias at Pachgaon in Nuh, Haryana on Tuesday.
The mining mafias cursed the DSP to death when he visited a site to stop illegal mining, police said.
After the incident, Haryana ADG Sandeep Khedwal said that the police received the information around 12 noon that a illegal mining was going on and cop was killed at the site.
DSP Surendra Singh, who went to stop mining on a tip-off, tried to stop the truck full of illegal stone, when the men of the mining mafia put a dumper on the DSP. At the same time, The Nuh SP and IG, who reached the spot, have started a search operation to nab the accused.
Meanwhile, the deceased DSP was going to retire end of this year.
