Maharashtra CM Thackeray may resign after Cabinet meeting

Mumbai: The political turmoil in Maharashtra continues and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray may resign in the evening today.

Uddhav will first meet his remaining MLAs and MPs and explain his position to them. With this, Uddhav Thackeray will hold a meeting with NCP president Sharad Pawar in private before taking a big decision.

Apart from this, CM Uddhav will also speak to Congress party leader Balasaheb Thorat to clarify the situation.

Sources in the Congress say that the government has come to a minority and the Congress is aware of it. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has hinted at dissolving the Maharashtra Assembly over the current political situation in Maharashtra.

Sanjay Raut tweeted that the ongoing political crisis in Maharashtra is heading towards dissolution of the assembly.
