Samyukta Kisan Morcha to observe ‘Delhi Morcha Fateh Diwas’ on Nov 19

Chandigarh: A nationwide meeting of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha was held at Gurdwara Sri Rakabganj Sahib today where prominent leaders of organisations from across the country participated.

Farmer leader Jagmohan Singh Patiala said that it is going to be a year since the farmers’ agitation on the borders of Delhi ended, but most of the promises made by the central government to the Morcha have not been fulfilled yet.

Keeping this fact in mind, today the leadership of kisan morcha has announced further programs. On November 19 last year, the Prime Minister had announced the withdrawal of the farm laws.

Therefore, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha has decided that this day will be celebrated as ‘Fateh Diwas’.

He said that on November 26, 2020, lakhs of farmers had left for Delhi on the call of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha. The Samyukta Morcha has decided to march to the Raj Bhavan of each state on November 26 and submit a memorandum to the Governor. These memorandums will include the central demands of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha as well as the demands of the respective state.

He said that after the victory on December 11, 2021, the farmers had returned to the villages in fateh march. December 11 will be celebrated as the front’s victory day and memorandums will be given to lok sabha and rajya sabha members from December 1 to 11.

He said the next meeting of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha will be held on December 8 in which the next phase of the agitation will be decided and announced. In that meeting, details of preparations for the struggle for debt relief, guarantee of MSP will be given. More than 70 leaders attended this meeting.
