Javelin throw: Anu Rani reaches final of World Championships for second time in a row

New Delhi: Indian player Annu Rani has once again made it to the final of the Javelin Throw event of the World Championship 2022.

She entered the final on Thursday by throwing a 59.60m javelin in the Group-B qualification round and now 12 players will be seen competing with each other in the final.

Anu had a poor start in the qualification round. She first threw a foul in the atempt. In the second atempt, she bounced back with a 55.35m javelin throw and then finished fifth in Group-B by throwing the javelin at a distance of 59.60m in the last atempt.

In this way, she finished 8th in group-A and group-B combined and got a ticket to the final.

There are now 12 players competing in the World Championships Finals. The top-12 players of Group-A and B have found a place in the final. The players who have thrown the javelin straight away at a distance of 62.50m in the qualification round have got a direct ticket to the final.

A total of three players have entered the final by throwing a spear over this mark.
