New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has submitted an application before a special court stating that the agency has closed its investigation into the sensational Sheena Bora murder.
The CBI had arrested her mother and former media executive Indrani Mukherjea along with Peter Mukerjea, was arrested in 2015 for the murder of 25-year-old Bora, her daughter from her first marriage.
Sources say the investigating agency informed the court it has decided to stop further investigation in the 2012 murder that was revealed in 2015. So far, the agency had filed three chargesheets including two supplementary charge sheets.
The murder was exposed with the arrest of Indrani Mukherjee’s driver Shyamvar Rai in a separate case. He is also accused in the case.
Following closure of the investigation, as per the procedure, CBI filed an application before the Bombay court seeking closure in the investigation in the case.
