Investigation officer of Sidhu Moosewala murder case shifted

Mansa: Inquiry Officer (IO) Angrez Singh, who is investigating the murder of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewale, has been suddenly replaced by senior police captain Gaurav Tura of Mansa.

Earlier Angrez Singh, head of police station City-1, was investigating this murder case, now Gurlal Singh has been appointed as the investigating officer in his place. Angrez Singh was the in-charge of Police Station City-1 Mansa.

The murder of Moosa Wale took place at Jawaharke village under this police station, due to which the police chief was investigating the case. At the time of Sidhu Moosewala’s murder, Angrez Singh received threats from the gangsters, due to which the security of police station City-10 was increased along with him.

Angrej Singh has now been posted at Budhlada police station, though Mansa SSP Gaurav Tura has termed the transfer as a regular transfer. The Moosewala murder case is being investigated by the SIT, which is headed by DIG Jaskaran Singh. The members of this team include Mansa SSP Gaurav Tura, Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) IG Gurmeet Chauhan. DSP of Mansa and Bathinda as well as SHO of Police Station City-1 Mansa have also been included in it.

Under the leadership of Investigating Officer Angrez Singh, Mansa Police has presented the challan of the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, in which the names of 24 murderers and 166 different witnesses have been recorded. Goldy Brar is described as the mastermind in it. It was Goldy who provided weapons, vehicles to the sharp shooters for the murder of the Punjabi singer. Jaggu Bhagwanparia also provided shooters Manpreet Mannu Kussa and Jagroop Rupa, who were later killed in an encounter in Amritsar district.
