New Delhi: The country has recorded fresh 1,79,723 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.
The tally rose to 3.57 crore, which included 4,033 cases of Omicron variant reported across 27 states and union territories.
The India reported 146 deaths linked to the virus.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra is among the worst hit states in the country as it reported 44,388 new COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths in thr last 24 hours.
