India defeat West Indies by a colossal 68 runs in first T20I

New Delhi: In the first T20 played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad, Team India defeated the West Indies by 68 runs on Friday.

After batting first, the Indian team had given a target of 191 runs to the West Indies, in response to which the hosts could only manage 122 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated overs.

West Indies’ power hitter batsman looked helpless in front of the Indian spinners. R Ashwin took two wickets for just 22 runs in his four overs. At the same time, young Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets for 26 runs in his quota overs. Apart from this, Ravindra Jadeja got one wicket.

Chasing a gigantic target of 191 runs from India, the West Indies team was tried to get off to a stormy start by opener Kyle Mayers, but he was dismissed for 15 off 6 balls. He hit two fours and a six. After this, Jason Holder, who came to bat at number three, returned to the pavilion without opening his account.
