India and Japan discuss cooperation in 5G technology

New Delhi: India and Japan discussed cooperation in 5G technology during the virtual interaction here today. The Ministry of External Affairs informed that important aspects of the cyber sector were discussed during the bilateral talks and the achievements in the areas of cyber security and information and communication technology were reviewed.

He said discussions in the areas of cyber and mutual cooperation were also discussed during the meetings of the United Nations and other organisations. “The two sides discussed important aspects of bilateral cyber cooperation and reviewed the achievements made in the field of cyber security and also discussed information and communication technologies, including 5G technology,” the MEA said in a statement. ’

During the India-Japan cyber dialogue, the Indian delegation was led by M Saivi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, India, while the Japanese delegation was led by Yutaka Areema, Head of Cyber Policy, Japan’ Foreign Affairs.
