Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday has rejected the anticipatory bail plea of former state industries minister and BJP leader Sunder Sham Arora.
He was arrested by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau a few days ago for allegedly paying a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to the AIG–investigating officer.
The former minister is currently lodged in jail under judicial custody. A case has been registered against him at vigilance police station Mohali.
Similarly, BJP leader Sunder Sham Arora has also been named in the latest corruption case registered by the Vigilance in the industrial plot scam.
