Ranchi: A special CBI court has convicted Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad on Tuesday in the Rs 139.5 crore Doranda treasury embezzlement case including withdrawal of public funds from government treasuries in various districts of undivided Bihar.
The court, however, to pronounce quantum of punishment ob February 18. The court had completed the hearing and reserved its verdict on January 29 in this matter.
Former Bihar CM had been sentenced to 14 years in four different fodder scam cases.
A court of special CBI judge SK Shashi had completed hearing against 99 accused including Lalu, which was ongoing since February last year.
