Buenos Aires: Thousands of people took to the streets of Buenos Aires, the country’s capital, to celebrate Argentina’s first World Cup win in 36 years and catch a glimpse of their favourite players, causing traffic jams and forcing the players’ parade to be stopped midway.
People were carrying flags, they were dancing and singing with full enthusiasm, but their number was so high that due to this, the open bus of the players’ parade had to be stopped and they were paraded by helicopter. The Argentine government called it an air parade.
