Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Thursday, who was booked in a drug case, has been sent to jail till March 8 by a Mohali court.
Majithia appeared before a court in connection with a drugs case. Later, the SIT of Punjab Police, led by AIG Balraj Singh, interrogated Akali leader for about one and a half hours in the court premises.
Earlier, the Supreme court had directed the Punjab Police to not arrested Majithia till February 23 so that he can undertake electioneering in Punjab.
