Dr Balbir Singh sworn in as Health Minister, major reshuffling in Punjab Cabinet

Chandigarh: The Punjab Cabinet underwent a major reshuffle after the resignation of cabinet minister Fauja Singh Sarari.

Now Dr. Balbir Singh has become a cabinet minister. He was administered the oath of office by Governor BanwariLal Purohit in the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

In a major cabinet reshuffle, the Punjab government has withdrawn the jail and mining department from Harjot Bains. The jail department has now gone to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer has been given governance reforms, water resources, mines and geology, science technology and sports departments.

Harjot Bains has been divested of the prison and mining department and has now been entrusted with the responsibility of handling the technical education and industrial training, higher education and school education departments.

Chetan Singh Joramajra has been given the charge of freedom fighters, defence services welfare department, food processing and horticulture departments after taking back the charge of health department.

The newly appointed Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh has been given health and family welfare department, medical and education research department and election department.

Minister Anmol Gagan Mann has been given tourism department, investment department, labour department, hospitality department and hospitality department.
