Covid cases continue to rise, active cases cross the 3,000-mark after 67 days

New Delhi: India is once again witnessing an increase in Covid-19 cases. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, 326 new cases of corona virus infection have been reported in a day.

With this, 5,30,775 people have died due to corona virus infection so far. 3,076 people are currently undergoing treatment for coronavirus infection in the country, which is 0.01 percent of the total cases.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the national recovery rate in the country is 98.80 percent. With this, a total of 4,41,54,842 people have recovered so far in India, while the COVID-19 case fatality rate stands at 1.19 per cent.

According to the Health Ministry website, 220.64 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive in the country.

According to information received from the ministry, 1898 new corona cases were recorded across the country last week. Although the total number of cases is still very low, the figures of increase in corona cases are definitely alert.

The increase in corona cases has been increasing continuously for the last 5 weeks. The first two weeks saw a slight increase.

This is the highest covid increase since the corona wave in July last year. Between February 27, 2023 and March 5, a large number of the latest figures are from south India and Maharashtra. Karnataka had recorded the highest number of 473 cases. It was followed by Kerala at 410 and Maharashtra at 287.
