New Delhi: The pace of spread of Covid-19 infection in the country has once again started scaring people. There has been a 20 percent increase in new cases of infection in the last 24 hours today.
According to the data released by the Health Ministry, 5,335 new cases have been reported in a day, taking the number of active patients of Corona in the country to 5334.
At the same time, 1,60,742 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours to trace new cases of Corona, taking the total number of tests done so far to 92.23 crore. The country currently has a daily positivity rate of 3.32 per cent and a weekly positivity rate of 2.89 per cent.
A total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses (95.21 crore second doses and 22.87 crore precautionary doses) have been administered so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive to prevent corona. In the last 24 hours, 1,993 doses were administered.
The positivity rate in the country is currently 0.06%. At the same time, the recovery rate currently stands at 98.75 percent. As many as 2,826 people recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,41,82,538.
Ten days ago, the weekly positivity rate was 1.39 per cent and the active case load was 10,300. The weekly positivity rate now stands at 2.89 per cent and the active case load at 25,587.
