Chandigarh: A ruckus broke out as Governor Banwarilal Purohit’s speech began during the budget session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha today. The ruckus took place when the governor said ‘my government’ during the speech.
On this, Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa told the Governor that when the government does not respect you, it does not behove to use the word ‘Meri Sarkar’.
After this, the Governor started using only the word ‘Government ‘ instead of ‘My Government’ in his speech. When Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann urged the Governor to use the word ‘Meri Sarkar’ citing rules, the Governor again started using the word ‘Meri Sarkar’ in his speech. Angered by this, the Congress MLAs walked out of the House.
