Congress alleges one of main accused is ‘BJP member’, BJP dismisses allegations in Udaipur killing

Jaipur: The BJP on Saturday denied allegations of links with one of the killers involved in the brutal murder of a tailor in Rajasthan’s Udaipur in the past.

Amid the ongoing controversy after the murder, the state’s ruling party Congress, had posted a picture on social media, in which one of the accused involved in the murder was seen with a BJP leader.

Sadiq Khan, head of the minority wing of the Rajasthan BJP, said, “We have nothing to do with any of the accused. Such a heinous murder is a failure of the Congress government in Rajasthan.”

The Congress had alleged that one of the main accused in the murder of tailor Kanhaiyalal was a “BJP member”. Making the allegations, the party asked whether the Centre had transferred the case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to hush up the case.

Senior Congress leader Pawan Khera cited the very sensational revelations of a media group regarding the Udaipur incident, which has shown the BJP’s relationship with Riyaz Attari. However, the claims were dismissed by BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya terming it as “fake news”.
