British tourist dies after drinking 22 shots of alcohol in 90 minutes

New Delhi: In a bizarre incident, a British tourist died after drinking 22 shots of alcohol in 90 minutes during a night out at a Polish strip club. Mark, who arrived with a friend at the Wild nightclub, was already intoxicated.

According to investigators, deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Mark tried to refuse to drink more drinks. But the staff members encouraged him to take more drink shots.

Mark was given shots of two dozen powerful drinks before he fell unconscious and later died. The club staff even robbed him of 2,200 Polish zloty (Rs 42,816) in cash. According to Polish officials, the alcohol content in his blood at the time of his death was at least 0.4 percent.

In particular, alcohol poisoning can occur due to a blood alcohol content of 0.3 percent or more.

According to the information, this incident took place in 2017. The Polish Central Police Bureau of Investigation (CBSP) said the clubs ran a racket in which they made customers drink alcohol before stealing their money.

The CBSE clarified that the gang took advantage of the “mental and physical condition of the victims” and “made payment transactions using payment cards or other financial means for goods and services allegedly offered at the club”.

According to the NHS, alcohol poisoning can occur when you drink alcohol faster than your body can process it. “It can make you seriously ill and you may have to go to the hospital for treatment.”
