‘Bored’ security guard ruins painting worth £740,000

Russia: In a flabbergasting incident, a security guard ruined a painting worth £740,000 after drawing two pairs of eyes on the faceless figures in his first day on the job.

According to the information, Three Figures titled painting was exhibited in an abstract art at the Yeltsin Center in Yekaterinburg city, Russia by artist Anna Leporskaya.

However, the security guard, in his 60s, who was reportedly ‘bored’ drew doodling eyes with a ballpoint pen on the paintings.

Following this incident, local police launched an investigation which invites a fine worth £395 fine or one year sentence to correctional labour.

Meanwhile, experts are hopeful that paintings could be restored to its original form without any damage to exquisite painting.
