Bihar activists lodge complaint against Baba Ramdev over controversial remarks against Muslims

New Delhi: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who is on a visit to Rajasthan, has issued controversial statement against Muslim community. Politics has started heating up across the country over Baba’s controversial speech. There has been opposition to Baba in many places in the state.

The Muslim society and advocates have protested against Baba and a Bihar-based rights lodged a complaint against him.

The State Minorities Commission has also expressed displeasure over Baba’s statement.

Ramdev, while addressing a synod in Barmer, made a controversial statement against Islam and Muslims. “The religion of Islam means only praying. It is only necessary for Muslims to read namaz and do anything after reading namaz, everything is justified. Whether you pick up the girls of Hindus, do whatever comes to mind by becoming a terrorist in the name of jihad, but pray 5 times a day. Then everything is fair.”

Rajasthan Minorities Commission chairman and Congress MLA Rafiq Khan termed Baba’s statement as “very cheap” and a “well-planned conspiracy”.

Talking to the media, Khan said that Ramdev’s companies are progressing by the grace of the central government, so they have been sent to spread communalism and casteism in Rajasthan. They came to Rajasthan as part of a conspiracy.

It is shameful that a yoga guru makes wrong comments against a religion. No religion teaches enmity. The central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi should take action against Baba Ramdev.

A written complaint was filed against Baba Ramdev demanding legal action against him.

SI Nand Singh said that a complaint has been filed by the advocates. The matter will be investigated.
