Amazon to fire employees in India as it shut down some operations

New Delhi: Amazon.com Inc. has said that it will shut down some of their operations in the country. India’s market of 1.4 billion people has also not survived amazon CEO, Andy Jassy’s cost-reduction campaign.

According to Bloomberg, the company says that its plans to deliver food services and door-to-door goods for small businesses are not going to take off. It has been decided to discontinue these services. Due to this, some hundreds of employees will be fired from thousands of Amazon employees. A person associated with the matter says that amazon will use online retail in India.

Jesse is reducing costs and cutting jobs all over the world due to the slowdown in Amazon’s businesses.

Earlier, Amazon, known as an online shopping platform, had told media said that it has not fired anyone, but some staff have left under the company’s voluntary disengagement program.
