UK calls Khalistani action on Indian High Commission in London ‘shameful’, arrests one

London: Terming the vandalism of the Indian High Commission by a group of protesters waving separatist Khalistani flags as “shameful” and “completely unacceptable”, top British officials said the British government is taking the security of the Indian mission here “seriously”.

Meanwhile, one person has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Waving Khalistani flags and raising pro-Khalistan slogans, a group of protesters tried to remove the tricolour hoisted atop the Indian High Commission in London on Sunday evening.

High Commission officials said the attempts by the protesters failed and the tricolour was being hoisted gracefully.
