New Delhi: Ending the suspense about Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, party officials said that he will contest the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly election.
Confirming the development, SP national general secretary Ramgopal Yadav said that Yadav to contest polls from Karhal in Mainpuri.
“I am making a formal official announcement now that our national president to contest the Karhal assembly constituency in Mainpuri, and he will win with massive mandate,” Yadav said at a press conference.
Akhilesh is currently Azamgarh MP.
